Description
Annapolis Yacht Club is recruiting sailing coaches and instructors for its 2027 learn-to-sail and competitive racing programs on the Chesapeake Bay. Teachers with on-water experience will find the structured curriculum, classroom space, and youth coaching responsibilities a strong match for their skills.
Annapolis Yacht Club is hiring coaches and instructors for Summer 2027 to run its learn-to-sail, adventure sailing, and competitive racing programs out of its waterfront Sailing Center. Coaches teach sailing fundamentals in Optimists, C420s, keelboats, and wingfoils, working with youth sailors throughout the June through August season with time off around the Fourth of July. The club provides free housing for coaches traveling from out of town and expects strong parent communication and classroom-style lesson delivery, drawing on the same planning and group-management skills teachers already use. Required certifications include US Sailing Level 1, SafeSport, a Maryland Boater's License, and current CPR/First Aid. Interested applicants should confirm exact pay, housing terms, and openings directly with Annapolis Yacht Club.
