Summer Camp Counselor · Summer 2027

Description

Camp Skyline needs energetic counselors to guide campers aged 5-15 through outdoor activities on its Almont, Michigan farm-camp property. Teachers will find the classroom-management, mentoring, and activity-leading skills they already use in school translate directly to cabin life here.

Camp Skyline is a retreat center that blends traditional camp activities such as archery, gardening, boating, and fishing with inclusive programming that also welcomes campers with special needs for part of the season. Counselors lead small groups through daily activities, build relationships with campers, and help run structured and free-play time in a rural, outdoor setting. The role suits teachers who enjoy hands-on learning, nature-based programming, and mentoring younger people over an extended stretch of summer. Staff take part in pre-season training covering safety and behavior support before campers arrive. Because pay, exact housing arrangements, and specific 2027 contract terms were not fully detailed on the page reviewed, candidates should confirm all details directly with Camp Skyline before applying or accepting a position.
