Head Counselor · Summer 2027

Description

Live with a cabin of 4–6 campers and lead activities and trips at a wilderness camp in Colorado's San Juan Mountains. Teachers' mentoring and planning strengths fit naturally into this leadership role.

Head Counselors are responsible for the physical safety and emotional well-being of the campers in their cabin. The work combines cabin life, planning and leading in-camp activities, and heading out on trips into the surrounding mountains. Colvig says hiring for the 2027 season officially begins in early November and that all positions are open for 2027.
