YMCA Camp Willson, part of the YMCA of Central Ohio's camp network, runs an overnight summer program on a 500-acre site in Bellefontaine and hires counselors to supervise campers, lead activities, and support overall camp operations throughout the season. Staff complete a week-long certification and training period before living on-site with campers for the camp season, with housing provided as part of the role. The organization frames the counselor position as a stepping stone to year-round YMCA employment and highlights leadership growth as a core benefit. Teachers who enjoy mentoring, outdoor programming, and structured group supervision should find the transition from classroom to cabin straightforward.
