Service is the foundation of everything we stand for at Vail Resorts and our Cooks are no exception to this experience of a lifetime. Cooks are an integral part of the culinary staff responsible for assisting the kitchen alongside the Chef, promoting teamwork among staff, and maintaining food quality and safety to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities: Use and operate kitchen equipment, tools, and accessories safely and effectively. Support the training of prep cooks, entry cooks, and experienced cooks on proper equipment use and kitchen practices. Follow and help uphold standards for food preparation, cleanliness, sanitation, and overall kitchen organization. Maintain knowledge of current menu items, recipes, ingredients, and allergens. Prepare ingredients and maintain par levels based on business demand while helping minimize waste. Monitor and rotate inventory using the first-in, first-out method. Track and help reduce food waste for reporting purposes. Operate a kitchen station consistently and effectively with little oversight. Serve as a role…
