Golf Course Turfgrass Management Intern · Summer 2027

Bald Peak Colony Club, a private club on Lake Winnipesaukee with an 18-hole Donald Ross golf course, is hiring turfgrass students to join its Grounds Maintenance Team for summer 2027. Interns get hands-on experience in all aspects of golf course management.

Interns work with the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents and Equipment Managers. Training covers daily course setup (tees, greens and cup placement), mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs, hand watering and moisture meters, irrigation operation and troubleshooting, fertilizer and pesticide calibration and application, aeration, turfgrass disease and pest identification, crew leadership, equipment maintenance in the shop, and recordkeeping. Applicants must be enrolled in a two- or four-year Turfgrass Management, Agronomy or related program and be willing to work early mornings, weekends and holidays; previous golf course experience is preferred but not required. Pay starts at $20/hour based on experience, with some overtime available.
