Description
Teach sailing on Lake Ashmere, with early arrival for boat, waterfront and lifeguard training. From $2,300 plus travel, room and board.
Sailing instructors need deep knowledge of the sport and arrive early for extra training on the camp’s boats, waterfront procedures and lifeguarding. You serve a dual role as cabin counselor (living with one to three co-counselors and 10–12 campers) and program instructor, preparing and leading lessons in your area. Male instructors do not live in cabins with campers and take on other duties outside instruction. Danbee says salary starts at $2,300 for a college freshman and increases from there, plus a travel allowance, room, board and staff T-shirts; paid internship credit can be arranged with your college.
